Successful Growth of Green Mustard with Rotenia Fertilizer

Faster growth, vibrant leaves, and higher yields while reducing input costs for farmers in Kupang.

The organic plots showed faster early growth, deeper leaf colour, and a higher marketable yield at harvest. Just as important for the growers, the cost of inputs came down compared with their usual chemical program.

Green mustard is a fast crop, which makes it a good indicator: differences in soil health and nutrient availability show up within weeks rather than seasons.

The farmers involved plan to extend the approach to their next planting and to other leafy vegetables.
